The IFCC General Conference
An Invitation from the President: Graham H Beastall
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to invite eligible people to attend the IFCC General Conference, which will take place on April 18/19th 2010 on the beautiful island of Corfu in Greece. Details of the venue, and programme for the General Conference can be found elsewhere on this website. The content of the programme has been influenced by suggestions from IFCC Members.
The General Conference occurs once every three years, at the mid-point of operation of the IFCC Executive Board. It is an opportunity to review IFCC projects and activity and to agree strategy and an action plan for the next eighteen months. Above all, it is an opportunity for the family of IFCC to meet together without undue pressure of time.
Those eligible to attend the General Conference are:
- National Representatives (or Presidents) from IFCC Full Member Countries (one per country)
- Representatives from IFCC Corporate Members (one per company)
- Representatives from IFCC Affiliate Members (one per organisation)
- IFCC Executive Board and Division Executive Committees
- Members of IFCC Committees and Task Forces
- Chairs of IFCC Working Groups
- IFCC Past Presidents
- Chairs of IFCC Regional Organisations
- Other guests by invitation
In order to make best use of time and to be cost efficient the IFCC Executive Board, Division Executive Committees, Committees and Task Forces are encouraged to hold their annual meetings in the two days prior to the General Conference (AprilĀ 16/17th) and arrangements for these meetings are being made with Lisa in the IFCC Office. Holding all these meetings in parallel encourages networking within the family of IFCC.
Communication is the biggest challenge facing any international organisation. The IFCC General Conference provides an excellent opportunity to achieve face to face communication and to put into place opportunities for effective electronic networking and communication. The IFCC General Conference is also a chance to meet existing friends and to make new friends. It is an enjoyable and rewarding experience at a highly subsidised cost.
I look forward to welcoming you to Corfu
Yours Sincerely
Graham H Beastall
(President)
